----------------------------
INTRODUCTION
----------------------------
This handy utility should make the the life of a Telegard SysOp much
easier. With TGList, you won't need to use Telegard to view * .MSG
files (or files containing MCI COLOR Codes). TGList offers the standard
list functions, plus features like searching.
TGList is also very handy for viewing Telegard Logs. For Network Mailer
users a simple hotkey can make viewing logs as simple as possible.
----------------------------
OPERATION
----------------------------
You MUST have TGLIST.EXE in your BBS directory (i.e. the directory that
contains your STATUS.DAT) unless you have set the BBS= environment. To
do this, add the following line to your AUTOEXEC.BAT:
SET BBS=<drive:\path\> where drive and path point to the STATUS.DAT file.
* EXAMPLE: SET BBS=C:\TELEGARD\
If TGList cannot access the STATUS.DAT file, you will receive a message
identical to the following:
Usage: TGLIST [d:][path]name...
If the file extension excluded as in the above example, TGList will first
search for the file with the .MSG extension and then .LOG.
* EXAMPLE:
To view SYSOP.LOG which resides in F:\TG\LOGS\, you would use the
following commandline.
TGLIST F:\TG\LOGS\SYSOP.LOG
------------------
USAGE
------------------
The following keys control text scrolling and other operations.
<Up> - Up a Line <Home> - First Line
<Down> - Down a Line <End> - Last Line
<PgUp> - Up a Page F - Find
<PgDn> - Down a Page N - Find Next
<F1> displays a short help screen.
<ESC> exits TGList
------------------
NOTES
------------------
TGList reads the STATUS.DAT to determine what colors to use when
displaying text.
